What a weekend we had!

Most of you will know that I was teaching an awesome buffet card class at the Paper, scissors, Chocolate Retreat. I had a ball; met up with friends I have only met virtually, spent fun hours with new friends, and some great times with long standing friends.
I of course didn't get much sleep and am paying for it now but hey I wouldn't change it!

So you will want to see some of the creations so I though I'd slowly show you the 12 cards I made! Watch out over the next 12 days i will be showing you 1 each day! All is of course made with Stampin' Up but I have to say I did add some flowers that were provided by Louise Williams for the class.

So card Number 1

I lurrrrrrrrrve this balloon set! I will one day make it up in a hotair balloon but for now I will just have to drool over the Up, Up and Away set.

Some masking techniques here using the cupcake punch. Love how a product can be used for many different projects!

Busy creating...

It has been a busy week for me teaching both Prschoolers and at Oliver's School. I have made my way through the huge mount washington and now need to attack the new cleaner mount! I sat down last night to get my head around my up and coming class at The Paper Scissors Chocolate retreat. Wow I am excited and the cards are pretty yummy. Keep an eye out for some sneak peaks of these!

I have a big order of new yummy product on its way and cannot wait to play! I have a few projects half finished and just waiting for those last bits to finish them off before I can show you all.

I have been working on a gift for my dear friend.
I love being able to give a home made gift to friends and to scrap a special photo is such a lovely gift.
I am currently doing a friends wedding album and thought a framed page would make a great 40th birthday present for her. I simply wrapped the frame with pretty ribbon and a tag that I embossed with silver powder.

The page was made using the beautiful Beau Chateau(122357) Designer papers. I love these papers and will be buying a few packs! They have so many images that can be fussy cut and many backgrounds suitable for all sorts of pages. I love the soft colours and vintage feel. I have fussy cut a variety of the images for the cluster and stamped the clock from Forever Young(122572). The clock face was stamped 3 times and layered withthe final layer having Crystal Effects(101055) applied to the face.

The page back ground is a piece of the Neutrals paper stack. I wanted a really soft worn look so i rubbed Craft White ink (101731)over with a sponge(101610) and added some stamping. I wanted to get a masked image of the lovely lace doily's from the Flirtatious Specialty(122360) paper and so I cut 2 of the shapes from the sheet and then spritzed withthe gorgeous Smooch Spritz(118770)(118771). A punched bird( 117191)and a piece of Lace Ribbon Border(122362) with Pretty In Pink tafeta Ribbon (retired)laced through it added the final touches.
Why not go and give a wonderful homemade gift like this...I know it will be well cherished!

I love the new Designer paper collections. I have used lots of nude chipboard( yup I often do!!) and some old chipboard has been used up with the frame. I do love frames right now. I have also used stickers from a retired scrapping kit but it reminds me to use these kits more; and OMG the kits in the new catty are divine!!!!! Will be buying them all. if you have not got the new catty then please email me you will not be disappointed!

Sept and Oct are going to be completely mad for me as I am going home to see my Mum in the UK for a very fast 1 week trip. I am going alone which is fun but also quite scarey. It will be the longest I am away from my munchkins. Boy I will miss them but I will be so busy. I then have a few days once home before I am teaching at Paper scissors Chocolate Retreat run by the talented Louise Williams. I am currently designing the class and buying all the yummy goodies. The buffet stampin' table is going to be chocca with yum! OOh that was a bad pun. keep looking here for some sneak peaks. I can tell you that if you are booked in for the retreat you will be getting the chance to buy some goodies at a great price so stay tuned.

Last of all I wanted to share the page I made using a 6x6 page we made at the Product day out in Auckland. The Stampin' Up family put on an amazingly fun day out and we had a few make n takes. I wanted to show how a 6x6 can be up sized! please excuse the crease marks they dont look that bad IRL but the cat decided walk across as I was photoing it! Don't ya just love the bright colours in these papers!?

Stamp A Memory Time and a Cake!

Feb seems so long ago and I have been itching to scrap Oli's 7th birthday! the stamp memory challenge got me going and so I made the 1st half of his birthday layouts. I have so many gorgeous pics of his trip to rainbows end so against my dislike of double layouts I did one! But as I always do they were made to work on their own and be a single layout too. You have already seen side one and here is a sneak of side 2. To see the whole thing pop over to Stamp A memory .

So this week has been pretty yucky; on Monday i came down with a flu and spent most of the week in bed. By Thursday arvo I had no voice and spend Friday very quiet. I of course couldn't help myself and made my good friend a birthday cake for her 40th and so I thought I'd share. It is designed from my boob cards and it was a great success!

I love creating in both cardstock and foodstuff...so good for the soul!!

Can you see the splatters on the page? I enjoyed getting messy with my Aqua painters and ink along with my spritzer and some smooch! YUM!!!!! The stickers on this page are from last years catty that i had left over and the journal spots were just perfect. I have a bit of this Celebrations Designer paper left and I am sure it will coordinate with product in the Catalogue that is coming very soon.

Each month a group of us get together and enjoy crafting, stamping and a few giggles.
It is the last few weeks of the mini catty and being able to buy the Strength and Hope stamp Set. A fabulous stamp set for a great cause. I love this set as it is so pretty but it is also great because $2 of the cost goes to Breast Cancer Research.

Sooooo I decided to do a little last minute money raising to help.... I also wanted support another Cancer Charity that is so close to Home Leukemia Foundation. Come along and join in the fun and help raise some funds for Leukemia and Breast Cancer Reasearch.

That time of year!

It is cold, windy and wet, we are inside and snuggled by the cozy fire. I don't mind winter but I do like to be snug and warm! I was raised in England so for me going outside in Winter means warm boots, big warm coats buttoned up to your chin, gloves, hats , scarves and any other layers you can fit on! But here....noo! Kids run around bare feet, quite often with shorts on and if your lucky a beanie! What's with that?
Anywhoo's... it seems to be a bad winter for bugs but then just maybe every winter is bad for bugs. If you are anything like my family an endless supply of tissues is needed at the moment and they look so good in a home made cover like the ones we made at retreat. I used my favourite colour Rose Red as my feature colour but the ladies all chose to do colourings to match their decor. The kids have now asked me to do ones for their bedrooms which I think is a great idea!

One of my fav things about winter is that my kids come home from school ,we pull the curtains, light the fire and do 'indoor stuff'. I get the chance to catch up on some creative bits and I have managed to finish a tissue box for my Mum who just came out of hospital after a hip replacement. The great thing is that I can send it to her in the UK flat and all she has to do is pull off the sticky strip backing on a few bits and pop it up ready to use.

So one of our afterschool/holiday 'Inside Stuff' will be to make boys tissue boxes. I will show you when they are made but if you would love to make this tissue box then drop me an email and I'll organise a class or even a virtual class. Maybe I could even make it a school holiday mother/child class??? A pretty one for Mum and a child one for the littler one! Good idea???? Let me know! I might just go and book the hall for it.

A sketch and come play along....

I love sketches and I love going to have a browse around page maps for inspiration. The challenge for StampAMemory this month is to use this sketch. I was a little worried when i 1st saw it as it is far more regular than how I scrap and I find it really hard to do everything straight! But it is a sketch right? A sketch is to start with not to copy so I used the elements and this is what I ended up with.

As soon as I saw the squares it reminded me of my new Level 2 stamp Set Cute by the Inch. The lines in the DSP also made me think of the sketch and from there I chose my photo and colours. I have been using scallops recently and so I wanted to use a different element on the line through the page and because my lovely Wine Glass Punch ( Spiral Border Punch 119872) has been neglected I decided to bring it out. Oh I love the punch! Of course I also had to use my Tasteful Trim die( Autumn Winter mini 120893) too.

Stampin' On the background was a must and I used a few of my favourite stamps. One of the most versatile sets I love is French Foliage ( Autumn Winter Mini 121166) I have also used You're a gem(122270) which has great little words for pages.

A little sneak of the tissue box we made at Retreat. Interested in this class then contact me!

Oh and this class

Why do I end up blogging at midnight? Why do I promise myself an early night and end up feeling really creative at 9.30pm? Why does work(teaching kids.. work) turn up on a doing my housework, catch up on paperwork and have a busy me day that I am looking forward to? Why why....yup I'm having one of those evenings but I have enjoyed my evening too. 20/20 was really interesting tonight and I spent the evening scrapping infront of the fire on our new rug watching the TV. Okay so not the best place to scrap, my page has a little less "sticky elements" than it might have but it has lots of stamping and I love the journalling.

Now that's a word that always gets me!? Journalling or journaling? Not a word at all according to spell check but a word us scrappers know well and love. Ok, so I love it but I know many of you don't. It really is the reason I scrap, the telling of the story behind the picture, the reason for, the why for, the just because! I love that my kids can see my handwriting( OK so I am lucky to have OK writing and my teacher background has paid off for this!)

I have always loved reading things in my nanny's handwriting and just recently was reminded how much I love to see handwriting when I found my 1st birthday card from my Grand-Dad. Did I know that was how he spelt his name? NO!! Did I really know what his writing was like? NO! And now... I do! That is what scrapping is about for me! That is why I do it. I have a memory to keep a memory to pass on and a new family tradition! I now know that if Justin becomes a Grand- Dad he will spell it just like that!

Here I am babbling, Sorry! I do that; but not enough on here. I will... I will journal more on my blog and have this record to keep. Anywhoooo.. ( oh so wish I had a pic of the cute SU owl to insert here)

I have been developing my creative business and time is not on my side so instead of worrying and stressing I have decided to ask for help! This request comes in the form of a NEW DESIGN TEAM.

YUP I am having a DT call! I am after a group of creative people who love SU to join me and create with some SU product! If you would love to contribute to INKspiring You and be a part of this fun and friendly spot, then here's your chance to apply!

A little inspiration and a Wow weekend

My Winter Retreat is over and I have not stopped smiling and laughing, thinking and creating!My brain has 1001 ideas running around it and it cannot believe the lack of sleep I gave it! But OMG it was fun, OK actually more than fun... crazy fun!

I still need sleep and haven't even looked at most of the photos of the weekend yet but I had to let you know it all went amazingly well and even my food was enjoyed! We wine tasted up at Awhitu Wines and Yum that wine has to be the best I have had in a while( Ok so I do normally buy the cheap of cheap) but honestly it is a lovely wine made by lovely people.

The pages that were created over the weekend were simply beautiful and I was so lucky to spend a weekend with some amazing scrappers! Chantelle put me to shame by making over 40 cards, scrapped and finished the classes. The scrapgirls
( not the spice girls) had the most beautiful pj's! and all put their hearts into the photo challenge.

For me it was hard work but fun work, lots of running up and down stairs ( ouch my legs ache) emotions, belly busting laughter and the best of friends old and new!

I will be posting lots of pictures but for now you will just have to wait... as for 2012 yep a Winter retreat is happening bu the bad news is that it is already booked out! I will however be putting on another retreat but need to think out venues and dates so watch this space.

June SAM Challenge

OOps this should have gone up yesterday but with Queen's birthday my routines went out of the window!

This month we are challenged to use buttons. I love buttons but for some reason seem to love looking at them but never get them on my pages. For this layout I used my Subtles collection (119745) and decided I really had to do a page about me. My cardstock supply looks a little sad at the moment...note to self buy cardstock for self for birthday! So I ended up using a retired colour but it works really well with the current scrapping quick Accents Nursery suite (118709). I was really lucky to win this set whilst at Convention in Melbourne.

The stamping was using the lovely Strength and Hope Set (124232) in the Winter Mini. I love this set and that $2 is donated to The breast Cancer Research Foundation. A great set for a great cause. The words on the script image inspired my journaling...my sister was sadly taken from my Mum and Dad at the age of 4 after suffering with Leukemia. I have always felt quite blessed to have been given the chance to be here and for the courage my parents had to take the chance once again. They were very hopeful for another girl and were blessed with me!

So I hope this inspires you. If you want to complete a quick and beautiful page I really encourage you to use the accents available on page 128 of the IB&C

An old photo and Convention Chapter1

Before I went to Melbourne I hurriedly put this layout up over at StampAMemory to show how you can make gorgeous flowers with the scallop punch. head over to the blog tosee more details and info on the page.

So yup I am home...and yup it was an amazing trip and an amazing experience. The Stampin' Up family is just amazing and I am so proud to be apart of it! Convention was everything I expected and more. It was so inspiring and I learnt so much. The new friends I made will be friends I will keep and it was great to spend time with old friends too.

The workshops and Workshop Wows were incredible...if you think you know most stampin' techniques then you need to go to convention because you will certainly learn more!!!! Not to mention have the best giggle ever. The girls on stage did an amazing job and they were so entertaining! So many great sneak peaks were given to us( and no sorry I cannot share right now!) I can tell you that the new catalogue is going to be amazing and full of new and gorgeous stamp sets as well as embellishments and product!

Swapping with other ladies was so much fun and I loved talking to people I have never met! I thought I would end this post with a pic of my swap that just about made it in tact over to Oz. I made about 50 of them and I have to say they looked rather cute! They are tiny...just the size of a small stamp. I will be sharing some more convention news and ideas and blogging a whole lot more than I have been doing so remember to follow me and keep popping back!

A little bit of colour

It is time again for a StampAMemory challenge and this time it is a challenge with lots of stunning colour. Hop over to the blog by clicking on the link and see the inspiration photo.

I have to say it threw me for a while as the picture and colours are so girly! I don't do girly layouts with bright colours...how do I do it????

So the 1st aspect I noticed was the black and white polka dots, this was my starting point. So I chose a black paper from my Nuetrals Paper pack; Ok so the dots are not as white as I hoped but it still worked for me.

The flowers were shouting my hostess stamp set ' Punched Posies' although it did worry me that the page would end up girly. Oh well, I went for it and used a baby picture of Keiran ( baby pics can get away with pink and flowers can't they?) You too can earn this gorgeous set for free, by hosting a fantastic workshop with me so don't forget to book your date.

Back to the layout... I have 4 gorgeous pics of keiran in my favourite outfit of his but I didn't want to cut them down and when I looked at them further I decided they warranted different stories. So 2 were chosen and kept 6x4. The layout began with the stamping of the flowers and butterflies, finding some scraps of CS that were slightly in keeping with the colour inspiration and as the page evolved it became rather more clean and "square" than my normal style.

It probably is a little girly but I hope my wee man will forgive me when he is all grown up.

Big week, Big photo and big shot

Dies on a page...

I have been creating for Stamp-A -Memory and this page is just so bright and fun! I have had this idea in my head for a little while but it has taken me a while to get it onto cardstock! I love Tango Tangerine and it makes a great background colour. For this page I wanted to use my Scallop square and circle dies and I am really pleased with the finished page.

Scrap lift from the Idea book

This months challenge for Stamp-A- Memory is to scrap a card or scrap page from the Idea book. There are a few ideas that I have been dying to lift but for some reason or other never get around to doing it. So I was so pleased to see this challenge and wow I love my layout and it only took me an hour to do!!!! Has to be one of my quickest layouts to date!

I Love the colours from the card on page 94 and the layers of scallop borders of course created with my border punch. I don't yet own the Love Letter paper as used in the example I lifted and so I replaced it with paper from Newsprint and Playdate. I added a medallion stamped onto Window Sheet.

window Sheets and StazOn

Each month I will be showing you and all the watchers of my blog and Stamp-A- Memory a technique, product or scrapping idea. This one is my 1st to be shown over at Stamp-A- Memory. To keep you all in a little suspense and of course get you to head over to the wonderful Stamping girls blog I will only show you a little sneak on here. So if ya want to see what I have created and get some scrapping ideas head over and see what all the DT have been up to on Stamp- A -Memory (just click on one of the highlighted links). As you can see this page has lots of little bits and pieces as well as a variety of stampin' techniques.

Whilst in the scrappin' mode I decided to do a quick layout for my One little word album. I have promised myself this album will be full of Kiss layouts and not lots of layers! I have to say I love this layout and am loving 8x11.5" pages too. Once again I used one of the shape papers from the Nursery Suite Paper. The title has been cut using my lovely timeless type Dies. I have used retired paper for the title (I have to use up those scraps!!!). The little block was stamped using my new Belle Toile Background stamp.

Stamp A Memory February Challenge

The challenge for Stamp A memory this month is to scrap a RED layout. As soon as I saw the criteria I knew I wanted to use the fantastic grid background from Celebrations DSP. It worked perfectly for Ollie's birthday theme and so I made most of the layout ahead of time and then added the pics at last minute. Party This Way Stamp Set if just perfect for any party layout and goes so well with the DSP. Don't ya just love the little banner stamp!? Introducing Stamp- A-Memory

It was a great surprise to see an email in my inbox titled invite to design team. How exciting to be asked to join such a great blog and be apart of the challenges. So this month is my 1st time to produce layouts for Stamp-A -Memory. Check out my blog tomorrow to see the layout I have produced. It was Oliver's 7th birhtday yesterday and of course the PARTY THIS WAY stamp set and Celebration DSP came straight to mind when I was designing his invitations and birthday card. I decided to keep it clean using boy colours and so I chose Real Red, Night of Navy, Marina Mist and Bashful Blue inks. These then inspired the birthday cake and I just happened to see a cake tin in Pac n Save with balloons on it-perfect!!!!

I scrapped a few other photos too!

I have just realised that I did not share the other pages I made over the holidays. I wanted to use some of my older cardstock and my New On board (119240 $29.50) so this layout came together! I am not sure if I like it or not. I most probably would like it more if it was on white or very vanilla but I was trying to be different. I had a little spritz of my Smooch. The medallion Stamp ( 119175 $ 40.95) is also featured once more ( I am loving it!!!)I used StazOn on acetate and love the look.

This page was on cardstock too with justa few stamps used on the background. My En Francais ( 112358 $40.95) and my newest Hostess Set Apple Blossom feature on this page. The pattern paper is the Presto Patterns Specialty ( 117175 $28.95) from the new Mini catalogue. I have simple used a songe with ink and brought out the hidden design.

I started this at Megan's retreat but as usual I shuffled the paper and didn't finish it. But my darling husband let me have a few hours peace today and I managed to stick it all down and added a stamp here and there.

I adore the Blueberry Crisp Designer Papers, they have a touch of floral but the blue is just perfect for boys and they grunge up beautifully with a few stamps here and there.

I just love my new stamp set Extreme Elements for adding that extra bit of special to a page. I stamped and inked the edges of the pattern paper to make it a little more boy like.

The circle die was used to make the circle design and the title is made with the alphabet dies. To finish off the page I used a piece of Newspaper Designer paper to make the journal block. The tab punch allows you to pull the block from behind the photo.

A few pains and a great deal!!!

Well the last 24 hrs have been more like a tornado that whirl wind! Just my DH was in lots of pain last night and although I was sure it was indigestion he was really quite worried so decided to take himself off to the hospital! Well from that moment I was freaking out and slept not one wink!!!! I heard from him around 11 to say that they hooking him up to monitors but I got very little information and at 6.30 pm when the kids bounced in to me....( after prob about 1/2 hr sleep) I still had no information!

I spent most of the eve/night/morning doing very little but shuffle, re pile and yup make more of a mess! I did sort of organise photos but now I have a huge pile to decide from. Which will i take away? That is the question. Anyway.....

to end the story( well the story so far...) he is still in Middlemore having test after test and now I am biting at the bit hoping he will be home in time for me to get away to Megan's retreat! I have 2 hours until I have to pic up K from Kindy and then should be on the road by 3ish...am I gonna make it?????

Ok I know I'm rambling...sorry! It must be the tiredness.

A new layout and I haven't forgotten!

It has been a whirlwind of a week. Not just with the big winds we having but in my life too! I have a cough the boys have a cough and now one is home feeling sorry for himself!! Just when I needed some un- interrupted me time to get on top of jobs before I go to Megan's retreat tomorrow!

Any way I haven't forgotten the RAK's, I just haven't posted them!!!!!But I will so very soon.

This is gonna be such a quick post but thought I had to show ya my new page. It has been half done for some time but I hadn't finished it because i knew I wanted to make a journal block and then I decided to make the block my make n take...so it took a little longer! I have used Kraft now named Crumb cake which I try to call cookie Crumb so if ya see it called that ya know what I mean! LOL I also used the gorgeous Friends 24/7 stamp set with Soft suade and other soft ink colours. Sorry the papers are now retired but I will be using the new Elegant Soiree to make a page quite similar for Oli! This paper pack has been so popular it is currently on back order right now but will be ready to ship very soon!! So keep looking for the next Layout!!!!( I might get another couple done in the mean time though). I will be making a page very similar to this into a class so let me know if you are interested and I will email you the details!!!! I will be able to do the class by email/post if you cannot attend in person but you will need the resources to do it!

I have had a busy week at work and pleased to find out that my teacher reg is all OK and so I can continue teaching at Preschool as a qualified!
As for tonight's party I am busy getting my little gift bags together and packing my bags so I thought I would give you a little sneak of the cards we will be making. I am definitely a scrappe rnot a card maker and these cards take me so long to design but I am happy with these I hope the gals will be tonight!

I have used my most fav background stamp EnFrancais for these cards. This stamp seems to appear on all my creations at the moment. I love the colours Razzleberry and Melon Mambo and so these appear on the 1st card. I have used the new Artistic Etchings stamp Set which I just love. Along with the tiny tags and punch.

The other cards are made with kraft now known as CRUMB CAKE, Soft Suade, and Baja Blue. My most fav wheel is once again used (Very Vintage) and the Medallion Stamp.

Well it is RAK day today and so I thought I just had to join in! I have no idea who or how many people read my blog so I don't know who will be in to win but hey if ya here then leave me a comment and you may well win my RAK! Sorry I haven't got a photo of it but it will be nice.

I have been slack at blogging and getting inspiration up on here. I am sorry for that if you come and have a peak! I have been creating but i have to say very slowly. It has been a busy week and I have been focusing on work and Fathers Day. I have cut out over 50 of the gorgeous Fancy Favour boxes for the children to give their Dad's. One of the gorgeous teachers at Preschool is going to fill them will handmade chocy's. YUM YUM. I was amazed because we had some off cuts of quite thick card to use and MR Bigshot was able to cut 3 at a time! The BIGSHOT KEEPS ON SURPRISING ME!!!

My latest creation combines some retired papers and new products and so far I am loving my page. I promise a photo will be up soon. It is a sweet page about Keiran and I used colours that seem to work for him. I have been playing and making gorgeous flowers with the new 5 petal Fancy flower punch. Watch this space... I will be sharing them very very soon.

I also have a bit of a shout to make. I am going to be doing a make n take at Megan's Retreat. I think if ya are very quick she may just have some spaces so go here. I will be doing a yummy few items and showing off the gorgeous new bits the catty has to offer. I just have to demo the cute 2 Step Owl punch just for Megan. Yup it is on my to buy list and wont be far off being ordered.

Oli has settled so well at Otaua School and made a wonderful friend. This friend has the most wonderful family and they have become our special friends. I have made this card to give them to say a big thank you for all their kindness and love! Ok so I am now confused where has the upload photo bit gone on here?????? Will be back soon... watch this space! Phew found it! Hope you enjoy and are inspired. Like the flower stamp? It is a stamp from a hostess set. Call me to book an in home workshop and be 1 step closer to earning yourself some free stamps and product! The pearls and pin are from the pretties kit. I will be sad to see this kit being retired! The pins are so pretty ..maybe and I hope that somemthing similar will be in the new Catalogue. Not long now to the big reveal!

So here are the last layouts from me! I have had a few of them sitting waiting to be stuck down. Don't ask me why.... I have a little last minute no wait....and then I leave them for a little while just in case.

I am loving the bright colours of Pink Flamingo! Quite scary at first but once you embrace the colour they are fab!

The love page embraces kraft soon to be cake crumb! I wanted the page to be subtle and soft. I found some gorgeous retired paper which was just perfect! I had a great time with the white embossing powder my Vintage wheel and heart punch.

I have created!! It took me ages to find some mojo but i knew that these cute little birds made with the 2 step bird punch needed a home. So I whipped out my chipboard and altered a few pieces...stamped them and smudged some ink and hey presto!! I also had a play with the circle cutter. I love the colours of the Urban Oasis and Garden Oasis DSP.

New baby girl

My friend in England has just given birth to a little baby girl. Penny's known for her love of the colour brown and so I new that the colour chocolate chip had to appear on the baby card. I just love how you can make a gorgeous bird family from the extra large 2 step bird punch. Thanks Valita for the tutorial on how to make these cute birds. Click on her name to see a tutorial video.

This card was made using all the old scraps that I finally organised into a drawer during my big craft room clean up. Using punches on scraps is a great way to have embellishments at hand and use all odd ends of cardstock. I now have a punched shape box instead of a pile of cardstock pieces.

These are a few of my latest cards I have created! The 1st 2 were made using napkins. If you would like the instructions on how to do this technique then please drop me an email!!! The thank you card uses one of my favourite sets Say it with Scallops, Baja breeze and red riding hood CS and very vanilla ribbon. The pattern parts are made with napkins. The 2nd card withthe butterfly uses tangerine tango and Pink Pirouette CS with Pretty in Pink ribbon. The butterfly and background were made with napkins.

The baby card was made for a friend and her new baby girl. I found the template on line somewhere but sorry cannot find the link now! I Cuttle bugged the blush CS using Swiss Dot folder and stamped with a Punches 3 stamp.

I had a blast with the ladies on Saturday and everyone made such beautiful albums in my class. Here is the album we made. It now sits beautifully in my lounge. The colours match so well and I love having some of my wedding snaps out to look at every day. The colours of the Sweet Nothings scrappin' Kit are just beautiful and I love the gorgeous sticker elements. I am going to enjoy making some layouts withte papers left from the class.

hoppy memories album

I was asked to make an album last week. It was to be given as a present to the families nanny. The Hoppy Memories scrappin' Kit was perfect!! I have taken out faces for privacy but I think the pics give a good idea of how cool the album looked.
These are just a couple of the pages for you to see.

This album used about half the scrappin' Kit so it left plenty of paper ,CS and stickers to make 12x12 layouts or cards or even another album.

Do you just love the new in colours??? It took me a while to enjoy them but now I have to say I am in love!! I love how they make interesting combinations and make cards for every member of the family. I just love the combination of kiwi kiss and pink pirouette. baja Breze has to be the most pretty shade of blue and riding hood red is a great red that goes with everything.

This is a reminder about my in colour club. Join the club and you will be able to create fantastic cards and creations. Not only is it a great way of spreading your costs but a great way of getting inspiration. Join up this month and you will also get design ideas included with your kit. We will be making a gorgeous mini album using the sweet nothings simply scrappin' Kit and some elements from the pretties kit. This class costs just $35 to make the album or $80 if you would like to buy the whole scrappin' Kit and A beautiful thing stamp set ( the album uses half of the kit so you will be able to make another album after the class). If you buy the class with the stamp set you are getting the class and instructions for free.
The class will start at 11am allowing the rest of the day to complete your own projects and add photos to your album. We will be having a shared pizza meal in the evening with wine.( soft drink available too)

It is only a week away until the next crop!! Oh and my birthday celebrations. 27 th June 10-4pm. I will be gifting some treats to those who come to the crop and we will be doing a small make and take. I hope we will all have lots of time to create our own projects on the day as well as having a small wine up at the local bar and grill. If you haven't already registered then there is still time.

On the 9th July I am holding an open home full of fun and creating. I will be demonstrating a couple of techniques as well as giving away a variety of treats and gifts. If you order over $50 of product on the night you will also be in to win your money back. I will will be introducing a new class I will be holding called Technique University. My friend Nicky a Tupperware demonstrator will also be available for any questions and she will have the July catty to browse. MMMMMM don't miss her yum passionfruit slice too. Inspiration!!!

Here is a page I made from some left over retired papers. Sorry you cannot buy this set any longer but I thought it might inspire you to do soething from the new range of DSP!!

I have finally found some time to get the camera out a take pics of some of the things I have been working on! I hope they inspire you to go and have a play! I have also taken some pics of the album I made for a friend. She flies out tomorrow and I will her and her family a great deal. These pics will keep putting a smile on my dial xxThis page was made using Bashful blue for the base and Good morning sunshine DSP. Chocolate chip grossgrain ribbon and some Crystal Effects finish it off. I have given the background some detail by doing the poppin' pastel technique.Oh and another one using old papers but I have used my new From the kitchen stamp set. It just shows that stamps are so versatile,this one doesn't have to be kept for the kitchen. As you can see I haven't quite finished it but it will say recipe of love nd have some quite personal journaling on it!!!
Must go to bed it is very late and we are off to butterfly creek tomorrow to help daddy celebrate his birthday.Just a few of the album, sorry very quickly taken photos. I used the Hoppy Memories scrapping kit for this album. It easily made the 2o pages and I still have lots left over to make some other layouts. What an economical but gorgeous way to make pages.

Recipe card box

I am well on the way to making the recipe card box and i have already taken a few lovely photos to moun ton the reverse side of the recipes. take a look at these cute pictures. i am quite impressed with my pink wobble cake as it is lovingly known. I will be holding this class in September, plenty of time for Christmas!! Keep an eye open for the dates and cost!

I am back with some inspiration and photos from my weekend away with Broni. I really had a great time and was inspired to do more creative playing. I have now finished the album for a friends leaving present and as soon as she has seen it I will post some pics of the pages.

This is a pic of me and my gorgeous friend Broni! Not the best photo of us. We were rather lacking in makeup and styled hair but hey who cares. Bron was the most amazing host and made me feel so at home. Thanks so much Bron for the wonderful weekend. I was only meant to be in Wellington for a day but due to the fabulous Wellington weather I was fogged in and had to stay the night!! I am sure Justin was not so happy but it gave me a wonderful relaxing time away and time to be creative without distraction.

I cannot show you the album I made but I will show you the card I made for our swap.
Ok so something strange is happening here with my photos and I'm not able to place them where I want to so they are all at the top of the post. Strange!! This card is the one with the circle and made from Sweet Always DSP. I used my corner punch to make the scalloped circle. The stamp set used was One of a Kind.

I see I have not been good at posting these last weeks but I can say that i have been creating!! I am currently making a 6x6 album for a friend who goes to Signapore to live next week. i am using the Hoppy memories kit and I love it. I have used heps of the cute bug stamps and friend stamps from both the new and old catalogue. I promise I will be posting some pics of my creations very soon.

I have just come home froma fun weekend with my Stampin Up team and I have to say it was great to meet the girls and particularly fun staying with Broni. More about the weekend soon!!

Exciting class coming soon

Keep an eye open for my recipe card box class. I will be running this class in August. I am so excited about making at least 2 boxes of cards. I am going to make one for each of my boys to have as a keepsake.. I am going to start preparing for this lovely gift right now and thought you might like to, too. So why not join me in taking photos ready for our wonderful gift.

I am going to take photos of the food I will include in the box. The recipes I record will be ones that the kids love to cook with me and are ones that have been past down through our generations on both my side of the family and my husbands. The photos will be of the children cooking with me and of the food they make. I need to start taking the pictures now so I can get them straight onto the cards when I make them.

I know that when they are grown men and have children of their own this will be such a treasured but also well used keepsake. I love to read my grandmothers cook book, written in her handwriting but some pages are so hard to read. These cards will be written in acid free, lasting pen and fade will not be an issue.

If making a box for children is not for you, then why not make some for gifts. They will make wonder Christams gifts for those who have everything. Give them blank for your friends and family to add their own recipes or give them a set with your favourite recipes on for them to try. Or why not make them for a dieting friend, a set of weight watchers recipes all stored in one place!! The ideas for this gorgeous gift are endless.

Not into cooking? Why not make a recipe for life box. Instead of writing cooking recipes why not replace them with inspirational quotes. Take lovely photos of the world around you to mount on the back side. A nice gift for someone who works at a desk. you could make 1 card for each day of the year for them to display.

Paper Sale workshop

As you will all be aware we have been given the opportunity to buy designer papers at such a low cost this month. However I am aware that to spend $60 in one go is not in all of our budgets.

Glimpses of you and your family Class

I have a had a few people ring me to ask some further questions about the class. I thought it might be helpful to share these questions and my answers.

Q. Why would I want to do this class? How am I going to fill 20 pages with my husband or partner?
A. You have a story to tell. If you don't tell your story then who will. When we record our life experiences, we also give the gift of letting others know who we are. Those who read or hear our stories will know not only us better but themselves as well. Creating pages about ourselves give us the chance to create, to remember and to reflect. It gives the chance for the loved ones in our lives to have a record of their history. If my loving husband were to pass away tomorrow I would have only memories in my head and nothing on paper to show the boys. I want for them to be able to see what I was like before I met their Dad, what he did when he was young and how we met. I want for them to remember the bike Dad rode to work, the jobs he did, the fun he shared with them and his favourite things. I believe you would want this too.

Q. Do I have to follow your page designs and instructions exactly?
A. No of course not!! The inspiration is there to help you get ideas together but if you have other ideas or page designs then follow your creativity!

Q. What am I getting for $130?
You are getting a whole pack of design paper worth $20, cardstock pack worth $26, a stamp set worth between $35 -$45, hall hire, printing costs, use of my stamp pads, ribbon pieces and some brads, extra cardstock from me, use of my other stamps including alphabet stamps, and of course my knowledge and time. You will be given a black and white page map which we will follow each quarter. I will send you an inspiration pack via email (post if requested) that will explain all the photos and journaling ideas you will need for the following months class. It will include questions to jog your memory and inspire your thinking. At the class you will get full instructions on how to put your pages together.

Q.If I choose to buy the class but not attend the class will it cost the same amount?
You can buy this class as a kit and complete at home in your own time for $100. For this you will receive the Stamp set, designer paper pack, cardstock pack and the instructions and inspiration sheets/emails. For an extra $10 per time you can pay to join the class.

Q. Will we use up all the paper and cardstock?
A. I am still to work out all the page designs, however, I am sure that we will have enough paper left over to make cards or other little paper creations. We will not be using the tangerine tango and so 4 sheets of this will be available for you to use else where.

Q. When do I need to book this class?
As soon as you have made up your mind to do it! I want to start the class in June and also make the most of the scrapping paper sale during May so that I can pass on the great price of paper to you. If you buy the 2 classes for $240 you will save $20. I have given you the benefit of buying 1 pack and get one free an even better saving than the catalogue sale. PLEASE BOOK THE CLASS BY 23RD MAY

Any catalogue problems?

We are aware of the binding issue with the new catalogue where some pages are falling out.

We also invite you to test your supply of catalogues, and even invite your customers who have a catalogue to do the same.

To test the catalogue, follow this simple test:

Place your Idea Book & Catalogue on a flat surface.
Open to page 147.
Run your palm along the gutter between pages 146 and 147--as you would to prevent the pages from turning.
Pick up the entire catalogue by page 147.

If any of the pages in your catalogue fall out, please contact me to arrange to get a new catalogue.

We assure you that although we had the new catalogue bound on one of the best binding machines in Australia, we realise this is a serious issue for you. We hope the steps we take will remove all faulty catalogues from circulation. We value your assistance and patience to rectify this issue.

Fabulous New die Cut Stamp Sets!!

Transition to Die-Cut Stamp Sets with the New Catalogue
31 March 2009

We are excited to announce that with the release of the 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalogue on 1 April, we will be transitioning to all die-cut stamp sets! We know that both demonstrators and customers have enjoyed the ease of mounting these types of sets, and we’re thrilled to be able to offer these sets to you in more than just the mini catalogues.

Please be aware that we’ve set up a process to transition from square-cut to die-cut with those sets that we are carrying over from the 2008-2009 Idea Book & Catalogue to the new 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalogue. We will continue to fill orders with the carryover square-cut sets until our inventory runs out.

What about the Costs for the New Die-Cut Sets?

Fortunately, with this transition to all die-cut sets, you will not see an increase in price for die-cut sets in the catalogue. So the price you pay for the square-cut sets is the same price you will pay for the die-cut sets.

Welcome to my creative fun!

Hi Everyone. Welcome to the new blog. It has taken me awhile to get it organised but this is a start! I will be posting my inspiration here as well as events, classes, kits and techniques.

Keep an eye out here for little challenges I may set and RAK's I will be giving away. I will be giving away a little RAK to the lucky person who comments on this post!! I will randomly pick a number and that lucky person will win themselves a lovely little stamp.

Don't forget to contact me if you would like a copy of the new catalogue/idea book. It is full of gorgeous inspiration. I love the news stamps and papers that have been released.

The 1st of my CROPS will be held on the 2nd of May. Keep watching for the venue but I am looking into Mauku Hall which is convenient for both Waiuku and Pukekohe. Please contact me to let me know if you will be attending this one or a crop in the future. They will be held monthly; usually on the last Saturday of the month. Each quarter I will be hosting a cropathon which will be 10 hours of scrapping and stampin'. Lots of fun, prizes and food!
